Easy Way’s To Find A Niche

Hi everyone!, thanks for coming back;), over the last few weeks of my internet marketing beginnings I’ve been seeing allot of posts in forums, and heard questions on podcasts with people having problems finding a niche, now basically as finding a niche is really the first step on the ladder, I thought id give you the process I go through when I start to look for a niche.

When I first started thinking up a niche, like most people with these problems I went blank!!, completely blank!, and for the life of me I could not think of a single niche I could follow up on, my ideas dried up, or if I did think of one, I either thought it was stupid, or that there would never be a market for that!, which as a beginner what do I know about markets!?, and that was my first problem right there!, rather than brainstorm ideas, I thought about the outcome of that niche before I even considered it!, anyway I did get a few things down after all, but I still needed some sort of system to follow in the future every time I need to think of a niche.

3 Parts Of A Niche

I’ve broke the process down into 3 parts, first of all forget about niches!!, scrub that word from your mind for a bit, get up and walk away, do whatever it takes to forget about that for a few seconds.

You back…… good, ok now on a piece of paper, or on your computer, or even better still if you have one, on a big planner or white board, this is what your going to write, and here’s mine as an example….

Ok let me explain each one of those parts you are seeing.

1) Hobbies

What I want you to do is write down 1-5 hobbies that you have, or have had in the past, something that you actually participated with, or have shown knowledge with in the past, but something materialistic…

Example: fishing, radio controlled cars, yoga, painting and so on…

2) Interests

Now write down 1-5 interest you may have, maybe you get a monthly magazine or watch a particular show, or maybe a subject that has always got your attention, but make this list something that maybe you didnt actually participate in before, but you are really keen about.

Example: horses, movies, sports, music…..

(These 2 subjects can intertwine allot, but don’t think too much about it, as long as you write it down)

3) Daily Tracking

For one day, and pick any day you want, I want you to be extra vigilant as to what you do that day, just take small pad or piece of paper and write down most of the things you do that day, take notes for it too.

Example: Work (notes): I sold a dewalt drill today.

Lunch (notes): made myself some really good chicken soup.

Meeting (notes): we talked about planning meetings today.

Now out of these examples above you could write on your list, Drills, Soup, Planning Meetings, you see how this could work for you?, those things you did that day can all relate to niche ideas and markets, or maybe even what you work as?, maybe your a cook, thats another one!, you see it does not have to be complicated, you just need to break it all down to make things easier, and to make more sense out of it.

Obviously your lists will need to be drilled down more, or maybe you find a really good niche idea right away, but this post is just about the idea forming part to niches for now, ill get to the other parts of niches in another post soon;).

I hope that helps in some way if you are stuck with finding a niche, or even if you find that pretty easy, you could still add this to your tool box.

For me I know how hard this can be!, I know what it feels like to not have any ideas, or rather than think of a niche your thinking about your dinner!, MMMMmmmmm Baked Potatoes!….. see another niche idea for that list!!, damn I’m getting good!!;)), but seriously if you do benefit from this post, please give me some feedback, or if you have any questions, then also feel free to send me your questions too. Good Luck!!!.

Have Fun Everyone!
