Finding Inspiration

First let me start by saying this video has nothing to do with internet marketing, but it does have allot to do with finding that inspiration we all need then doing something about it, how many times have we all heard “If you never try, you never know”, plenty right..

We all need inspiration especially for those of us still in jobs we dislike, but where do you get it from in internet marketing?, you could look at all the success stories from the leading marketers, but that sometimes gets you just plain frustrated thinking about why you didn’t earn $250k last week right, I know!;).

So sometimes I look elsewhere for inspirational stories, something that I see will motivate me to do something toward my goals, and no, making a coffee to wake you up does not count ok, but if that works for you;).

Im always on YouTube wasting time!, yep when I get internet marketing information overload that’s what I do, I look at videos of other people wasting their own time, it makes me feel better, but the other day I came across this story, well not really a story as such, this is not made up it really did happen which is why I wanted to share it with you all.

This is about a guy called Paul Potts who believes in himself enough to enter  a British TV show “Britans Got Talent”, to sing Opera, worst of all its in front of Simon Cowell(American Idol Judge), Paul Potts does not look like your everyday pop star, nor does he try to be, he actually works in a day job like many of us selling cell phones.

He struggles with nerves and lacks in confidence, but he has a dream, and having this dream pushed him to make this stand and just go for it, and that’s just what he did, very moving stuff..

Now after that truly amazing performance Paul Potts went on to win that competition and $100,000+!, he now has a record deal and a CD selling on amazon, Google it to see;), also he never did go back to that day job, surprised?.:)

Not only this story, but this video alone has had 39,552,156 YouTube views, just goes to show that doing something you believe in, something from the heart can really work and lead you in the right direction, it really does not matter what that is, but you have to try, why sit their watching the same shows on TV day in and day out, then the next day having to get up for work and do the same all over again, why not try something toward your dreams/goals instead?.

In regard to marketing, I got to link it back somehow right;), maybe its not the best way to go about things by trying to inspire yourself with the huge amounts of money other marketers are making, you are yourself, you may not look like them, market like them, earn like them, but you are yourself, a little different can be good just look at Paul Potts, and with goals dreams and targets to believe in their is no reason you cannot turn your life into that dream you have also.
