What Headline Would You Click On?….
Be honest, what one of the headlines above would you have clicked on?, I think most of us already know, because we have all been doing it already!.
I’m guessing that around 90% of you would have picked the 10k in 2 days right?, and even though its written exactly the same as the other headline, and even though its not the first line of the two, we all pick that first amazing claim!!, and thats our first wall that can defeat the best of us.
Big Brick Wall
There it is, stare at it for a while, because its this wall that stops most of us in our tracks!, its this wall that blocks most of our motivation, and pretty much all of the inspiration that we have when we tackle headlines like the one above!, the reason for that is, if you read a claim like “Learn How To Earn 10k In 2 Days”, your going to expect too!, but if it does not happen, then where do you find yourself??.
I’m not saying that this does not happen, but maybe the people who make these claims started off just like you and me, by basically working like a dog for weeks and not seeing any thing in return, then once they became proficient at it, sure they found out how to earn 10k in 2 days, but to say a beginner is going to do exactly the same is probably not going to happen?.
My Internet Marketing Journey So Far (No Wild Claims Here)
3 weeks into it……
I first started internet marketing about 3.5 weeks ago, I found this site The Thrity Day Challenge
This site was the introduction I had to internet marketing, and I was surprised that there were no wild claims about it, in fact what it does is give you 30 days to earn $1!!, yep $1, oh and its free, plus you get video after video of probably he best marketing tutorial techniques you can find online!.
So like many I was very excited and inspired, and got right too it, I followed all the tutorials and put the advice into practice, I started 3 new niche projects right away!, “this is gonna be great, ill be rich!”, that was my view on things as I approached these projects.
As time went on I was still putting my newly found inspiration to the test, just waiting for my first sale!!, and after 2 weeks, more traffic, but still no sales!, I felt like I was trying to sell ice to an eskimo!;), so I started to wonder what I was doing wrong, I would look around the internet at internet marketing sites, and see just the same 10k in 2 days headlines that are written above!, and my motivation started to fall, you start to feel like maybe its not for you?, and with all the other 10k a day marketers drilling these claims into your head, you sometimes wonder if its worth it at all?.
Well I’ve been at this now for just 3.5 weeks, and I’ve discovered this…..
Getting Back That Inspiration And Motivation
What I did was stop looking at the crazy “Sign Up Here To Learn The Secrets” sites, because really, thats how they can earn these amazing daily dollars;), because they want you to be dis-heartened enough to buy everything they sell!, and how far will that get you, more in debt, and much more under motivated right!, so stop right where you are!.
What I also did is get back to the basics, I wanted information, I wanted to learn much more about the internet marketing field, so I downloaded podcasts, I’m watching youtube videos on the subject, which by the way, they also want you to sign up for “this and that” to get the next video installment in the series, but all you need to do is search for that next video in youtube, and rather than signing up for one persons video, just watch someone else do it for free, theres so much info and advice about internet marketing on their, you just need to look around for it;).
Immerse yourself in what you do!, if you really want it, it will happen!!, I’m sure. I’ve still not earned a bean yet, but it will happen, I’ve even started another couple of sites, never give up!, don’t worry if something fails, thats good that it failed, you now know to cut the strings and move on and start a new, I even have a picture of an Apple Imac taped to my desk!!, thats my inspiration focus right now, as well as trying to make 59c per hour form internet marketing, that will enable me to cut down in hours at my “day job”, thats another tip, make your goals smaller, not 10K, but maybe to start with $1 a week, because thats what its going to take, a dollar at a time!.
Best advice of all, enjoy it, write a blog about it like this one and share FREE real world information, no wild claims, just bare bones what you are doing, not only does it keep you on track, but you can also look back over where you’ve been, and how far you have come.
