Stuck In A Rut

I’ve slowed way down on posts and updates to many of my sites, even this one, this is not to say I’ve given up by any means, its more to the fact that nothing I was trying was really working too well, its hard to keep up that level of excitement and motivation when everything you try seems to fall flat, ive seen pancakes rise higher than some of my recent ideas!;).

In the recent weeks I have probably used more printer ink and paper than the local newspaper printers, since I started this ive probably read about 20 internet marketing related ebooks, I should be an internet marketing guru by now!, but instead those ebooks are as littered around the office as they are in my head, their is paper everywhere, all that information on those pages and very little remains in my mind, I think they call that analysis paralysis or information overload?.

I took steps recently to try and control all the information I get on a daily basis, I unsubscribed from allot of the newsletter emails I get sent, I deleted some of the programs that I never really use, so now im really down to just a few good chunks of information, and even less of the “buy this” emails that used to drive me insane!.

Back to the drawing board is where I sit right now, and I mean that literally, I need to plan out what I need to get done before I even sit at the computer, I’m not going to make it a huge to-do list, maybe only 5 things per day, then once I get that done I can have free range to concentrate on anything else that may come up while I’m working on my list, it seems this will be the only way to stop me from floating off somewhere and just randomly browsing useless stuff for hours on end.

My main goal for all this is to find a way to actually start to make some money, and not just the odd one sale a week stuff, but more of a constant income that I can rely on, after all that’s the only way im going to get away from the day job, because that money tree I planted is just not coming up with the goods:).
