Increase Site Traffic

For a newer blog like this, one of the most important things I need to do is increase site traffic, when you first start out with a blog to be honest the traffic amount sucks!!, all you see in your analytics are 5′s, 10′s, and sometimes on a good day maybe even 20!;).

So what is it you need to do to increase web traffic?, you could do an adwords campaign but that takes money!, and you cannot guarantee the visits you get will stick or even be interested in what you have to show?, to really increase site traffic you need to find a way that is more targeted, and hopefully FREE!, lets face it if you can get allot of free traffic you are doing something right!, but what is that something?, that’s what I’ve been trying to find out..

I’ve looked at many blogs while searching for “How do I increase web traffic”, and to be honest they all seem to say the same thing, which most often than not is find the right keywords, then optimize for Google which will hopefully get you in the top spots, then just sit and watch the free traffic come in!, which in the ideal world is great, but what if your me;)……..

I saw a tweet the other day on the subject of increase site traffic, the message in this particular tweet was..

How to Get over 850,000 Visitors Per Month to your Website

Of course this made me stand to attention, as it was indented to do, and as usual I thought “too good to be true”, so I investigated a little further into this claim by using my fav tool Quantcast , and the claim seems to be true, as seen here…

So it seems this guy does know a thing or two about how to increase site traffic right!:), worldwide he actually gets 270k visits!!, so that 180k visits tweet was something I must check out!, better still it was a video too, David Risley is his name, and his personal site can be found here http://www.davidrisley.com/ .

Here is the video I found in that tweet, if you want to increase site traffic then take a look at it, listen to the tips, and hopefully me and you will be able to increase web traffic to our blogs too!, that must be some feeling to have 180K visits per month!, especially when you consider i’m happy with 18!!;), here’s the video..
