BEACUSE I WANT A HUGE HOUSE AND MILLIONS OFF $$$ A YEAR!

BECAUSE I WANT A HUGE YAUGHT, AND A FACE FULL OF PLASTIC WHEN IM 50!

Both of the above would be nice, well apart from the face full of plastic, that was just a joke haha………… anyway(tough crowd;)), what is an entrepreneur anyway?, here is the definition from Wiki.

An entrepreneur is a person who has possession over a company, enterprise, or venture, and assumes significant accountability for the inherent risks and the outcome. The term is a loanword from French and was first defined by the Irish economist Richard Cantillon. Entrepreneur in English is a term applied to the type of personality who is willing to take upon herself or himself a new venture or enterprise and accepts full responsibility for the outcome. In common understanding it is taken as describing a dynamic personality.

In that piece form wiki, do you see the word “rich“ once??, nope, so why when you tell people you are an entrepreneur you get the funniest looks and questions from people, like “Oh and how are you going to get rich”, or they just laugh at you, even to the point where I don’t use that word in conversations anymore. The funniest thing in the wiki piece above, an entrepreneur is also “a person who has possession over a company, enterprise, or venture” , so really, the people who laugh at me are really laughing at themselves!, damn business owners!!!;).

Why I’m An Entrepreneur

Not for any reasons above, although millions would be nice right, but my main reason is the fact that it it allows me to take more control over my future, i’ll try to explain that a bit more… As you know I also work full-time in retail, so I have a “day job”, my entrepreneur projects are done for as many hours as I can put in around my job, but if I did not have these projects I would just have the one full time job, safe and assured right?.

Nope!, not anymore it seems, with so many people around you losing jobs/stocks/pensions, its scary to think that even the job you think would always be safe, is no longer that way, we have no control over that either and thats the main thing about being an entrepreneur, you have so much more control, if something happens with the economy you can adapt to that, because you’ve built up a business before, you can do it again, on the other hand if you’ve only ever worked in retail, what can you do?, look for another job that just isn’t there?, you have no idea where to go if that happens, so is it really a safe bet to have a “day job”?.

Rewards a plenty

I like the term rewards!;), but just imagine yourself being able to bring in enough money to be financially free, you wont get their working in retail let me tell you;). The thing is you are expected to work till your 65ish, then retire and live off a pesion(if you still have one), but by becomming an entreprenur it gives you the oppertunity to try something else in that time, you can do it part time while you work at your other job too, if something takes off, then move into it full time, it gives you so many more options to choose from.

There is always that hope of the big pay-day too, this gives you incentives and motivation to carry on with your various projects, the only incentive I have when I go to my day job is knowing that it pays towards the stinking cat litter I need to change everyday!!!, but at least I have an incentive, on the serious side, at the very least it gives you some hope, some hope that while your stacking shelves or working on greasy cars, at home you have a small empire that could one day make it huge!, so huge that the office sign on the door will be changed to “belly of the beast”, or the computer you work at, can be called “command central”, you can take on the world, and the cats stinky litter all by yourself!!.

One Dollar At A Time

Thats what you need above, just one of them to get started, then many many more!, but as I’ve said in past posts, build up slowly, and give yourself small targets!, and no more perfect a target is $1!!, because if you can make just one of these, you have already broken down the biggest starting hurdle their is, until you reach this goal, your mind will only see it as a game, and only when you make this dollar, it gives you some realization that yes, I can do this!.

Think of it in these terms….. You go fishing for the first time, rod, hook, bait, what do you do?, so someone comes along and says “all you need to do is put bait on hook, rod in hand, then bait and hook it water”, then walks off, so thats just what you do, you could stand there for ages right, thinking its a waste of time!?, until someone comes over to you and says “Hey weirdo thats someones pool!”, then they direct you to the lake not 10 feet away where you catch plenty of fish!, and thats just like being an entrepreneur, you may have some tools, you may have a bit of know how?, but if you don’t expirence something from it, it all seems to be a big waste of time, but if you try it and listen, you get to catch some fish, and after that first fish you know what its like to have done it, so your mind starts to say “Hey I like this, now if I caught one doing this, I will catch more if I try that too”, and thats your aim!.

Thanks once again for all the support given to me over the past week, love to hear from you all!!

Go catch those FISH!!!!!….. or Dollars might be a better target, but ONLY ONE!.

Hi all….

I’ve thought long and hard as to what to put in the very first Flop Idle post, but let me start by giving you an overview of me, and why I called this blog Flop Idle….

My name is Elliot, I’m 31 years old and work full-time in retail, I was originally born in London, but now married and living in Connecticut USA which is where I write this post from, its a long story as to why the change of country, but I’m not going to bore you with that, I’d rather bore you with why I decided to start this blog in the first place.

Like many of you who will read this blog I’m stuck!, stuck in the motion of a day-to-day regime that always seems the same, nothing seems to ever change right!??, we’ll thats where I find myself now, but I decided to do something about it, why conform to what we are expected to do, work our jobs, earn what we are told, pay into a pension that when your old you can collect on a be a completely miserable sack of bones!!, WHY WOULD I WANT TO DO THAT!?.

I cant see myself working for the next 34 years like I am today, I would rather take the temperature of a horse with my head!!, get the point!, I just do not want to do it!, so……… there must be something I can put my finger on as to why I’m working full-time, and someone else with the same type of upbringing as me is extremely successful and filthy rich!!, but what is it!?.

It could be education?, but millions of people with less education than me are doing very well for themselves, so It cant be all about education?, could it be luck?, that probably has allot to do with it too, but thats not the only reason I’m sure, so what could it be?, well thats the question I am going to find out, and your hopefully going to follow me on this site as I do.

You see it could all be about hard work?, but how many rich people do you see that are always playing golf, or drinking coffee in Starbucks, or annoying the crap out of you while they drive 25mph in front of you in their bmw’s, and I’m late for work stuck behind them!, so it also cannot be attributed to just hard work either, although if that is what it does take, then I’m ready to do that too.

What Do I Need To Do And How Am I Going To Do It?.

I tried to be a freelance web designer and I sucked!, and thats being nice, I could design the sites, program the databases, pimp out the SEO (search engine optimization), but my business side of it was awful!, you know when I first got business cards printed up it was around Oct time a few years back, which is fine right?, we’ll not when you have 2000 printed, and also think its a good idea to have that same years calender on it!, opps, so after just 3 months of giving out about 50 of them, im now stuck with 1950 business cards!!, brilliant move Elliot.

So after a few years of trying that I’ve decided to try something new, after all, you will probably do well at it, but unless your super talented, the big money just wont be there, but if you enjoy that kind of thing, its great!.

I did have one success out of it, one of my sites got ranked at number one in Google out of about 2 million sites, and is still doing pretty well, it needs work, but I probably get around $100 per month from various earnings related to the site, still not enough to quit the day job just yet!?.

Recently I think I’ve found a way to try and get myself out of my current situation, a couple of weeks ago I found this site 30 Day Challenge , This site changed my outlook on my current situation, and gave me a belief that I could do something with the skills I learned on my earlier web design path, the 30 day challenge is an Internet Marketing super course!, and it does not cost you a penny, its free!, I am by no means affiliated with them, I just took the course myself, and think its a wonderful program to participate in if you would like to learn Internet Marketing, the instructors are AMAZING at what they do, and will teach you over the course of 30 days all the greatest tips you could learn, and all completly free.

I wanted to take my new Internet Marketing skills to the next level, so I signed up to The Immediate Edge , And its using this program that I hope is going to change my situation and life for the better!, I am going to work like a dog at this, and hopefully post my results on this site to give you a view of just how well i’m doing, so you can follow along with me, or even try it yourselves to make your current situation a thing of the past!.

Oh, one last point….. I hope in the least to be able to get a new Apple imac out of it!!, so thats a $3000 benchmark to set myself right away!!;)).

Why Flop Idle.com

I came up with Flop Idle because when I was just a lad, like millions everywhere I wanted to be a rock star!!, and also like millions everywhere, that never happend!, recently watching American Idol(or Pop Idol in England), I saw some people still at my age trying to be the next big thing!, lol very badly, so it put my rock start dream into percpective, instead I was a flop, and not being the most “up and at em” kind of person, I was also a bit lazy, and thats where I got the Idle from, so married together you get FlopIdle.com.

That’s It.

This post is probably way too long for a blog post!, I’ve probably bored you to tears!;), but this is my first blog, so why not get the boring bit out the way, and move on with the good stuff right!!.
