Trust me I used to struggle with bloggers block allot, I would sit here at my computer and stare at the blank “add new post” screen like a zombie, then I discovered a few ways that help me trigger neat brand spanking new topics to write about, now its time to share that with you.
5 Ways To Cure Bloggers Block
1) Addicto Bloggio - http://addictomatic.com - A great way to stimulate ideas for new posts is to use Addictomatic, all you need to do is enter your blog topic/niche into the search bar, it then returns all the latest buzz and news from sites all over the web which relate to your blog topic, this is a great way to find out not only about the latest buzz in your market, but to also find other related blogs/sites that you can leave a comment on.
2) Blog Bond - If you follow and read other related blogs in your niche, then sometimes just reading these can stimulate post ideas for your own blog, and good way to do this is to pick one of their posts that seemed to create allot of comments from people, then put your own twist on it, this is a great way to get trackbacks, plus if you comment on their post, the other readers who click on your comment will be taken back to your blog for additional conversation on the same post topic, and usually end up leaving comments on your opinions too.
Site Map 3) Tweet What? - http://www.tweetgrid.com/ - You can use this tool similar to Addictomatic in tip #1, but Tweetgrid searches only twitter, the benefit of this is that you get to see what people are talking about in your blogs niche LIVE, right now!, this is great to be the first blog on a niche news story, the other thing you can do with Tweetgrid, is actually refer the people in deep conversation about that subject back to your new blog post, which coincidently is all about the topic they are talking about, you just @ them from tweetgrid and let them know about it. I’ve picked up some great friends on Twitter doing this, who also just happen to be avid blog readers to;).
4) On Good Days - DO you get this too, some days you can write forever, ideas are easy to come by, your fingers just seem to flow on those keys like Mozart on a piano, but then what do you do, you write just one post and stop!, when what you could be doing is drawing more from that creative energy while you have it, by not only writing one post, but two, maybe even three!, most blog platforms like Wordpress allow you to save as many posts as you want without publishing them, doing this allows you to have a backlog of blog posts to keep for those rainy days.
5) Ask People - If you have an email list or a following of Twitter-ers, why not ask them what they want to read about?, ask them if they need advice or have any niche related problems, this can give you a ton of feedback to draw from, take notes here too, don’t miss one of these topics as this is golden information for future posts, the best part about this again is the fact that you can practically assume feedback on your post, just because you know someone has an interest in the blog post you just created.
Hope That Helped
I hoped that helped you out to create ideas for posts in your own blog, blogging block is tough, and their is nothing more frustrating than having no clue as to what to write, I’ve been their too, many times, but the tips above are what I use now to overcome this problem!, well them and a large mug of coffee!!!;))
