Nothing on the PayDar today, and I’m slightly behind on my article writing this week so I have some catching up to do! I’m still looking at writing at least another 20-30 articles by Sunday this week, but for today’s post I thought I’d cover how I’m going to track sales once they are made;)

After finding a Clickbank product to promote, and having an idea of what keyword I want to target in an article, I then follow the steps below to track what article and keyword a sale would come from.

Step 1:

For this example I’ll use the product above which is Satellite Direct, I’ll also use an example keyword and article title of “Tv To Pc” to target in the search engines.

Once you have your product and keyword in mind click create HopLink to get to the next step.

Step 2:

This part is where you get to enter your ClickBank nickname, and then a tracking ID which is optional, but I put it to good use in step 3.

Step 3:

For this step I used CB-id as my Clickbank NickName, and in the Tracking ID section I entered the following….

ABtvtopc

I’ll break this down to explain.

The first two letters AB represent the article directory, which in this case is ArticlesBase.

GO – GoArticles

EZ – EzineArticles

You get the idea right;)

The next part of that tracking ID is tvtopc which you guessed it, is the title of the article, and also the main keyword for that article.

Say I used the article title Get TV Onto Your Computer instead, what I would then do is this…

gtvoyc

Which is..

Get TV Onto Your Computer

I usually take the first letters of each one of the main keyword phrase words, you don’t have to type out the entire thing, all your doing this for is to identify what keyword/title made the sale.

Once you have entered your Clickbank Nickname and Tracking ID click create to grab your HopLink.

Step 4:

Now you have your tracking ID appended to your affiliate URL -> ABTVTOPC.

For every article you write you should create a new HopLink with a new tracking ID to identify what article made the sale. This allows you to focus on converting keywords rather than just make a sale from an unidentified article source.

If your article directory does not allow affiliate links in your article, you can still redirect that tracking ID HopLink via one of your own domains using PHP(I’ll get to using a PHP redirect in a later post).

Once you make a sale, check in your Clickbank transactions to find the tracking ID that converted to that sale. If you have a keyword that converts really well you might want to explore it some more to see if you can either improve its SEO rankings, or even start your own site based on that keyword. But whatever works for you;)

As soon as I make a sale I’ll show you how it all works anyway.

Any questions feel free to leave them below.

Thanks for reading my blog!

Opps, I apologize for not posting nearly as much a I wanted to on Flop Idle, but I’ve been a busy boy;). Recently I posted about my first ebook/report at this post here Info Product Creation , and this is what I’ve been very busy working on, but thankfully its nearly ready to launch!;).

I’ve been deep in sales pages, videos, opt-in forms, writing copy and designing graphics, you know I have not watched TV for a week!, which let me tell you is a good thing, turning that box off enables me to get so much more done, and also keeps me away from all the negativity on the news!, what do CNN know anyway!?.

What’s In It For You?

My whole point to this blog is to help as many people as I can, now if that involves making them money then that’s great!, but in order to do that I have to pave the way first, and I’ve tried it all so far from affiliate marketing to small JV’s, but with my info product I wanted to see if I could really make some money from selling my own product, after all, you must be fed up of selling other peoples stuff right?, we have Amazon for that now;).

So an info product it is, I want to be able to launch this product, sell tons of them, then come back here and say “this is what I did, and this is how you can do it too”, after all a shared experience is always better than living it alone right!.

I love the idea behind the fact that obviously selling our own product enables us to pocket 100% of the profits, but I’m not going to be just selling it by myself, one reason is that me trying to sell it all by myself, is really only limiting what might happen if I can get others selling it for me as well, sure using affiliates costs you commission’s, but if I only sell one at $27 by myself, when I could have 10 affiliates selling one each at %50 commission, that would still pocket me $135!!. (I did just use a calculator for that I admit it;))

Clickbank.Com-rades

I think most of us may have used, or at least heard of Clickbank on our internet marketing/blogging journeys?, if not, Clickbank sell info based products, and usually at a nice commission too!, I’ve been using it for a good few months now, but only as an affiliate, so I thought it high time to use this platform to try and sell my own product, after all, their are some top-notch affiliates using it all the time!.

Clickbank products can make people a lot of money, for both the affiliates and the product creators which creates a win win situation, which is what attracts me to using Clickbank in the first place, so I’ve been avidly reading up on how to do this anywhere I can get information on it, and let me tell you that has not been easy!, I think it would have probably have been easier over the last few hours to put a shoe in my mouth, and attempt to sing the national anthem while hopping in cow crap!.:)

Clickbank does have information on a “get started selling” section of the site, but its pretty vague, and makes it seem like you need two separate accounts!, but in fact you don’t, you can do it all with just one account!, I’ll explain this in detail very soon.

My day today was trying to put the last touches to my product, and getting it Clickbank ready, Clcikbank ready means following all the terms and conditions to actually make it possible for them to accept your product, and this is pretty in-depth for a newbie, but worry no further, as soon as I get my product into CB i’ll share in easy steps the ways I did it.

But What Am I Selling??

Good question!… I’m selling an info product all about how to train your dog to use Twitter!, its going to be AWESOME, oh and about $50, you want to buy it now right?…

Now for the serious and not so immature real answer;). It is an info report on Twitter, but its not for dogs! , its for you, it outlines in easy steps some ways to get a hoard of followers, and not just any followers, targeted followers!, unlike those “get 20k followers in 2 days”, then you actually find yourself getting followed by an expert in origami, and your trying to sell golf clubs!, which just does not work!.

As most of us are trying to make money online, and like me you may have created your very own product to sell, well this report helps you use easy steps to find a lot of potential customers on Twitter, people that are actually interested in those golf clubs, that would be handy right;).

It’s not just for those with their own product either, this can also help you boost traffic to your site/blog, the reason this works is because all your followers are targeted by you, not some useless bot, but you, so you know before they even follow you that they are relative to what you are talking about on twitter, imagine having 10,000 followers all interested in your tweets!, goldmine right!.

Make Money Online

My main goal obviously is to make money online by selling my own product, but my goals are small, at first i’m just hoping I sell just one copy, I know one is not going to enable me to buy a new car, but just knowing the fact that I created something that someone just purchased and used, will be a great feeling im sure!, almost like when your a kid and you grab a huge cake to eat by yourself, knowing that everyone else is sleeping;), that kind of feeling. ( I think;)

But once again another goal I have is to help others, so if I can do this and start to make some money, their is no reason why you cant do the same also, and that’s why over the next few weeks I’ll post in-depth steps on how you can do this too, hopefully I’ll make it so easy your twitter using dog can do it;)).

Within the next week I’ll hopefully have my product live on CB, and be sharing with you the results of what I find out, but I also have a plan B if I don’t get the nod from CB, I’ll keep you posted regardless of the outcome.

When my product is completed ill post all about it to let you take a look for yourself, if you want to be notified the minute its ready, all you have to do is sign up to the Flop Idle newsletter, and I’ll email you as soon as its out.:)

Stay in touch;)), wish me luck!.
