Market Samurai is KILLER! Without this tool I’d be old, gray haired, and probably pee myself 17 times in the time it would have taken me to track all my articles without this program!

Ok that was a bit overkill, but you know what I mean!

So I’m at the point now where I have about 35 articles spreading their love all over the web, so I really need to track each and every one of them to see if, and what I need to do to boost my articles up the rankings to where I want them to be.

The Answer came in the form of Rank Checker within good ol’ Market Samurai. The way it works is as soon as I’m done with an article and it gets published, I then grab the URL and enter it into Rank Checker.

Once I enter the URL of the article as well as the keyword I’m targeting with it, I then hit a magic button called “Update Rank Data”.

Rank Checker will then go out into the web and pull up a vast amount of stats which include ->

Broad And Phrase Match Ranking Position In Google, Yahoo And Bing.

The Exact Page That Ranks For That Keyword.

Page/Site Backlinks.

Page Rank Of The Page/Site.

All Stats Can Be Viewed On A Time Line Graph.

Color Coded Changes In Ranking – Easily See If You Tank Or Crank.

This sort of information is pure gold to be able to see in an instant if your current seo ranking methods are paying off! If not, then you will see those awful red indicators that let you know you are falling faster than a one-hit-wonders second album!

This is the layout that you will become familiar with ->

And this is the screen that gives you a visual graph on increases and decreases over a period of time ->

Without this kind of information at my fingertips, most of my time instead of writing articles and content would probably be spent on manually checking each and every article myself! Which would be a complete pain in the – AS $ you have seen above, this is no longer necessary;)

I check each article every other day to see what is working or what is not. The good thing about having many different sources to track is, you start to develop trends and methods that you can then apply to other seo boosting campaigns, which will hopefully pay off overtime too.

If you are not yet a user of Market Samurai, you can sign up for a FREE trail here ->

Market Samurai FREE Trail Offer

It has so much more to it than Rank Checker, but I’ll also cover them in future posts also. Until then – Happy Tracking!

6 Projects Into My Internet Marketing Journey

Yep SIX projects, when I start something I really start something don’t I!?, I may be nuts, but im learning a ton of new information from the most unexpected places, sometimes purley by accident, I’m also finding I have allot more of those “Ah Ha” moments too, this is because I search for anything I can involving internet marketing, my favorite things at the moment are podcasts, I listen to them on my way to work, and back again, they give me some great tips, and also help inspire me for when I get home and hit the computer(not literally……, well some days.!…).

Am I seeing tremendous results from my projects?, answer…… on the sales front, No….. , on the traffic front, No….., then so far what do I have to show from my projects?, the answer to that is allot of ways not to do something, which for me is great!, the more I know what not to do, the more I can narrow down what I should be doing, and that can only be good.

When I first started #30DC I followed everything that was taught to me, BUT…………, while I was researching 2 of my first 3 niches, I went for slightly higher traffic than requested, also at the same time, I did not know what I do now about Market Samurai , so I made mistakes with that also, basically 2 of my first 3 niches are in competitive markets, nothing too big, but big enough to struggle to get into the top 100 in Google!, where as my other niche is at number 4 in Google!, however this is not on my most popular subject.

Breaking Away From What You Know

So, two of my first problems were because of the fact that while I was drilling down niche keywords, I settled on a keyword that I thought I’d like to do, rather than a keyword within that niche that matched the #30DC guidelines, I wanted to stay with something I was confortable with, regardless of the compitition I would face from other sites, and now im struggling to hit the top 100 for either niche market, so in fact I really should have stayed with the guidelines set, and id probably be working allot less on these sites than I am right now.

Starting off with three niches did give me a great way to compare results, Im approaching each niche in a very different way, that way if I find one of the approaches works better than any other, I can quickly change plans over from the other sites, and match what im doing with the sucsefull one, this is probably the main reason I started the other new niches(6 of them), because I’ve refined the way I search for niches, double check that, then check again, then launch it with the best practices I’ve learned from earlier hurdles ive jumped over.

All you really have to do to make it easier for you when you first start, is start slowly, and start small, tinker with ideas and track your results, there is no reason why you cant start up a few niches too, but try to keep them in a low area of competition, that way you wont find yourself getting disheartened when you don’t see them at the top of the Google results.

Next Step: Ebooks | Vidoes | Podcasts Products

I was thinking today about trying to come up with my own product for my niches, what if an affiliate product really takes off for me(it hasn’t yet, but it will;)), would I be able to try and come up with my own product to promote, rather than just earning commission from someone else’s?, I thought it would depend on that niche I was selling affiliate products for, what if I had no idea about that subject, how would I be able to come up with my own product?, the answer to that brings me back to this, while you are finding that niche, researching, posting articles, watching videos, reading news topics about it, you are becomming very aware of that particular market, you’re picking up information all the time about it, you cant not learn something about that subject, at the very least you could write an ebook about how to start a blog site all about it right!;), thats how im starting to think about products, it may have been a topic I do not have allot of interest in at first, but im learning about that particular subject, and their’s a market out there with people just starting that same journey you came through already, so why not apply a product directly to them?.

Another resource I love is video tutorials and podcasts, you can learn so much from them, and sometimes even for free;), they are also a great way to promote your subject niche/product, if its something you can teach someone online, then why not release a video all about it?, get some more followers and some cash all at the same time.

Podcasts are great too, I cant tell you how much I’ve got from my journeys too and from work listening to them, sometimes there will be such a great tip, ill pull over to the side of the road to write it down in my phone!, or as soon as I get home ill jump on the computer and visit that site I heard while listening to it, you can also get some great interviews on it with people involved in your field, so you get to learn even more, as well as getting a ton of promotion for your site/product too.

You see the more people you can get at with GOOD products/videos/podcasts, the more you will see in return, I cant tell you how many times I’ve told someone about a great tutorial video/podcast episode to check out, I will probably even blog about some of them in the future, its all great promotion for that particular product creator, but that’s because it was good, and had great value to me, and thats all you need to do to the people in the market you are targeting too, deliver them a great product.

Thanks for reading this post;)).
