Fri/Sat/Sun May 1st/2nd/3rd -$10

Negative $10. $30 PPC costs were taken away from what was a $20 profit over the last 3 days. I used Yahoo PPC for most of this last week, at first I tried the Content network then switching to the Search network on a couple of the campaigns.

SEARCH NETWORK:- Placing Ads on the search network using keywords that display your ad when someone searches for that term.

CONTENT NETWORK:- Placing Ads on relevant sites/forums that people use related to the keywords you enter.

When I started I was only using the content network as an experiment, but in my opinion you more likely to make a sale from using the search network instead. For example…..

I needed someone with credit card close by to click on my ad, therefore they need to be sitting at the computer ready to enter a keyword for what they are looking for in the search engines. They then enter “buy yoga ball” or something similar to what they need, hopefully my ad would show up on the first page in the sponsored ads.

The searcher would then see my hypnotic copy in my ad and just have to click on it;), then bark like a dog for my amusement only right before buying what im using the ad for in the first place.

My problem with the Content network is the fact that your ad is displayed in front of people that are not really in “buyers” mode, which would probably explain the very low CTR(click through rates) and huge impressions. Also the Content network tends to not cost as much per click(CPC) than the search.

Knowing that my ads were going to be displayed in front of people not really in buyers mode, I changed the ad copy for the Content network. I figured the copy really needed to be sharp, because what you need the person to do here is notice your ad then click on it, then maybe leave the screen for a bit to go and get the credit card, right before returning to the cart to process the payment. That’s asking a lot!!, after all how many times have you clicked on an ad to make a purchase while in a forum?.

But I did make a sale from using the content network, I lent heavily on the fact that people love to boast about things they have or have done, and this sometimes takes place in forums. So I used lines like – >

“Embarrass your neighbors using the —- ——- on your house”.

“Become the center of attention after using — —–”

“Apply the —- ——- and have people take notice of what you have to say”

It was the “Embarrass” line that made the sale for a home improvement related product.

I know im talking a lot about forums in the content network, just remember that its not only forums your ad is shown in on the content network. It could be any number of related sites that display ads on them, im just using forums as an example.

Now What?

After a few days of PPC and losing some money, I decided to cut down the PPC campaigns to just the one that made the sale. If this goes pretty well it could be a nice idea to start a niche site around, but I’ll wait and see before I try that.

Im also going to publish The Twitter Technique as a real physical book, I found some print on demand(POD) sites that ill be using to distribute my book as a physical product, ive not tried this before!. In fact about ten minutes ago I ordered a copy of my own book in real print, it will be nice to actually hold something I created.

Im not sure how this will go but ill post about it once I get more information in, I’ll also list the best sites to use and how to do it too.

For now i’ll just carry on marketing my niche sites and using PPC. I have some ground to make up for now, which is why im considering selling one of my sites, I tried this before and was offered about $400 for it but held off selling it at that time. But if things get close with this target ill reconsider that option. Try it all right;).

Its been a busy week, especially with the launch of my product coming this week, looking forward to seeing what I can learn from this and how I can change things in the future.

Now armed with my own product its time to get back into the info millionaire mindset again, after that great day I had using the first newsletter, the previous newsletter was mainly based on the fact that you had your own product, and as I didn’t at the time I could not really use it, but don’t worry those of you that want to know where I am at with info millionaire, next week will hopefully see me implement a few of Frank and Treys methods on my own report.

PPC Method

I was again playing around with PPC this week and discovered something I didn’t realize you could do?, so I tried it out for myself and it worked pretty well for me, if I get good results over the next few days with it I will post a video later on in the week to let you take a look for yourself.

I also wanted to take this opportunity to ask you if you use PPC?, and to also ask if you do not, whats the biggest reason for not doing so?. On the other hand if you do use PPC, then also let me know what you find to be the best things about using it.

Links Of The Week

A new feature I thought I’d do on the weekly recap is “links of the week…”, I’ll share with you the best links I found over the last week, and also give you a brief description about what they do, if you like them and need more info about them, just let me know and i’ll post up a video for you.

1) http://www.twitclicks.com – If you ever want to see how many people click your tweeted links, this FREE tools will show you.

2) http://dossy.org/twitter/karma/ – Last week I hit a twitter ratio limit, meaning that I was following too many people, and did not have enough followers, my numbers were.. following 2000, followers 1500, it seems if you have 5oo more people you are following than follow you, Twitter stops you following people full stop.

I can see why they do this but it did suck for me, however Twitter Karma to the rescue, because not only does this site find who you are following, it lets you know which ones are following you back also, and on top of this it enables you to bulk unfollow!!, sweet!, I could not imagine having to do this in Twitter itself!.

3) http://www.selfstartersweeklytips.com/ – The people in this forum are the best of the best!, they have all helped me out with my report a great deal with tips and advice, I could not have done it without them!!, the forums alone will rock you for FREE!!!.

4) http://www.imnirvana.com/ – This is an internet marketing related blog, but the guy behind it Alan Petersen is turning into a “must follow” man!, he has a lot of great content and his videos rock!.

5) http://www.youtube.com/edawg13 – This is my youtube channel, I post my “how to” videos here, and will also have a few new ones coming over the next week also, so this is a heads-up for those;).

Have a great week all, I’ll be posting my progress all week long so keep coming back to check in:).
